No employment income or benefits paid by the unemployment fund

If you have no employment income and you do not receive benefits from an unemployment fund, your membership fee is EUR 8 per month.

This may be the case in the following situations: you are on family leave, you have been given a grant, you are on unpaid sick leave, you receive rehabilitation benefit or informal care benefit, or you are unemployed and receive a benefit from Kela. The minimum fee of 8 euros will also be paid in cases where you are employed and your percentual membership fee would be under 8 euros.

PLEASE NOTE! Remember to update your membership information in order to be eligible for the minimum fee!

For example, you start your family leave on 5 March. You receive income for four days in March and you pay the normal percentual membership fee for those days (however, the lowest possible fee is EUR 8 per month). You then pay the EUR 8 membership fee starting from the beginning of April.
